My name is Annaïg (she/they) founder of Birth Simplicity Doula. You can also call me Anna. I am a parent of 3 children born in Montreal, Canada.

I am Canadian and French, and I live in Santa Monica, California.

I am a Birth & Postpartum Doula.

As a doula, I am a person who is consciously present with you every step of the way on this wonderful journey of becoming a parent.

I deeply believe in the merits of supporting the desire to be parents, regardless of the choices and events surrounding the preparation, arrival and beginning of life of every human being.

I will be there with you, for every minute, simply caring and nurturing. I inform you as well as possible, I listen to you, I hold your hand, I breathe with you, I try to anticipate your needs if necessary.

I am an inclusive doula, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC ally, aware of being very privileged, and who tries to be as open-minded as possible. I am aware of the fact that I do not know everything. I learn and grow every day.

I have experience with first parents, VBAC, C-section, hospitals births, birth centers, epidural, bath births, ...

I am also on a journey at Antioch University of Los Angeles to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

Why the hummingbird ? 

I feel like a hummingbird in this world—drop by drop, I do my part, sometimes small, sometimes huge, to make this world a better place.

I'm doing my best to create a brave space where people feel heard, have time to ask questions, and can fully experience the emotions that come with the adventure of becoming parents—one step at a time.

Nature

I love spending time in nature—forest bathing, swimming in oceans and lakes, hiking in the mountains—and embracing the power and simplicity of observation, deep breaths, and bare feet on the ground.
